Music & Movement

The Early Childhood years are the most important years when it comes to musical development because children who play or sing music regularly perform better in reading and math when they begin elementary school. Since playing, singing and dancing to music increases both fine and gross motor skills and helps develop hand-eye coordination, these children are better able to control their bodies. Those actively involved in music also tend to have high self-esteem and are better at playing with others. It is, therefore, important for Two Little Owls Schoolhouse to provide an environment rich with music and movement, to allow for the exploration of musical equipment, and to engage in plenty of diverse, stimulating musical activities.

French Language Program

Our French Language Enrichment Program offers children a language immersion experience in French taught by a native speaker, fluent in English, with experience teaching young children. The children are taught French language and culture through stories, songs and crafts.

The program is designed for children whose primary language is English and is appropriately and developmentally adjusted for children who are bilingual and native speakers of French. The Language Program at Two Little Owls Schoolhouse is available to our Infant, Toddler, Preschool and Pre-K children, ages 2.9 through 5. The language class meets 5 days a week for 30 minutes each day.
